Fluids for Cooling System

Did you know that the liquid that comes from the factory in Radiators/Cooling Systems of cars and the vast majority of trucks and buses is a special liquid, carefully balanced and that must “YES” be changed periodically (on average every 2 to 3 years ) and that, on the other hand, the use of tap water and many of the liquids indiscriminately sold at various points of sale in all Brazilian cities as "ADDITIVES FOR RADIATORS", are in the vast majority highly harmful to the proper functioning of engines, and that this practice can lead these engines to fatigue, with huge costs for their repair?

  • The first point to be considered in this matter is the FIRST FUNDAMENTAL RULE: Practically all Cooling Liquids that come from the factory in vehicles are produced based on a chemical compound called MONO-ETHYLENE GLYCOL, and that these vary in their concentration within the liquid used, depending on the geographic region where these vehicles are produced and travel, that is, Northern or Southern Hemispheres, closer to the poles, or, in more temperate countries like the USA, European countries in general where the seasons are well defined, or even more tropical or semitropical countries such as Brazil, where higher or even moderate temperatures predominate.
  • The second point to be considered is also the SECOND FUNDAMENTAL RULE: In all these liquids, DEMINERALIZED WATER is used as a diluent, the same used in car batteries, mineral-free water and also, a “Package of Additives” specifically for preserving the internal components of the Cooling System. Nowadays, these “Packages” can be of ORGANIC or HYBRID origin. Organic additives were introduced in the 1990s, seeking to preserve the environment and, as they generate technical inconveniences in diesel engines, the HIBRIDOS additives appeared later on. These are nothing more than the Organics themselves, plus an additional component, NITRITE, due to the use of diesel as fuel, but which also does not cause damage to nature!
  • Today, considering the good liquids found in the Brazilian Market, that is, those produced within the FUNDAMENTAL RULES above and, already prepared and marketed as “READY TO USE”, that is, (IT IS PROHIBITED TO MIX THEM WITH WATER OR ANY OTHER COMPONENT – therefore called “READY TO USE”), the vast majority are HYBRID products. These, in turn, have no negative effect on gasoline, CNG or FLEX engines and, when used in diesel engines, provide additional protection, as they protect against cavitation, a common phenomenon in diesel engines, caused by vibration. at high frequency, a typical characteristic of these motors. There is little care when we talk about liquids for RADIATORS AND COOLING SYSTEMS, because in Brazil there is still no legislation for the control, inspection, production and commercialization of these liquids, thus, the final consumer, in general layman in the subject, due to lack of knowledge, just look at the color of liquids, which can be pink, yellow, light green, reddish, gray, etc., since this color is always given by the use of dyes and that nothing interferes with the function of the product.
